Excessive pride members can be caused when kicking a member from the pride. Let's say you've got 23 members, you kick one and then count how many mebers you still have - it'll say 22 as it should. But then, it will still say at main you have 23 members. And the next time you add a member that number will grow, thus giving you 24 members instead.
